Gender stereotypes

Gender stereotypes are a modern-day issue that have been around since the formation of ancient societies.

Before, females had to take care of their children  while males were in charge of hunting and gathering food.

Overtime, these roles changed and evolved; creating new, present day expectations that both genders are expected to fulfill.

The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) defines gender stereotypes as a generalization of certain features that men and women must achieve;

It can be considered damaging if it restrains both gender’s ability to progress in their inner capacities, decision making or career selection!

Gender stereotypes must be eradicated in order to achieve a better shaped society that avoids their normalization!!!
